Scarlet Lewis
Scarlett Lewis founded the nonprofit Jesse Lewis Choose Love Movement in honor of her son, Jesse, who was murdered during the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy in December 2012.

Officer Jason Downey
Officer Downey is a 23 year veteran of the Hudson, NH Police Department where he is currently the Mental Health & Wellness Officer. He and his wife Meghan have been married for 23 years and have 4 children. Jason has held many roles within the PD and has played a critical role in bringing CISM to the employees of Hudson PD.
Officer Downey will present:

Kelli Sallee
Executive Secretary to the Chief of Police
Goffstown, NH
With over a decade of diverse experience in law enforcement civilian roles, Kelli brings invaluable insight into the challenges they face. CISM trained, she actively contributes to both departmental and regional CISM teams, offering crucial support to distressed colleagues. Additionally, as a certified Life Coach, Kelli is dedicated to empowering individuals to discover their purpose and motivation.

Behind the Scenes
While not physically present at the scene, civilian personnel are deeply affected by their crucial tasks—fielding initial calls, meticulously redacting reports, scrutinizing bodycam footage, and being the trusted confidantes in times of need. "Behind the Scenes" unveils the pivotal roles these individuals play and offers invaluable strategies to support them through the challenges they face.

Adrienne Moore
Adrienne is a mental health clinician specializing in the treatment of veterans, first responders, and their families. She has experience providing individual therapy, developing and facilitating psychoeducational groups, and presenting on a variety of topics including wellness and burnout prevention and first responder cultural competency. She is also the wife of a disabled combat veteran, whom she identifies as her “why” and inspiration for her work.

Moral Injury:
We are all familiar with PTSD and its prevalence in the first responder field. But what about Moral Injury? This occurs when an individual engages in, witnesses, or experiences something that violates their moral standards. In other words, Moral Injury is a soul wound. In her presentation, Adrienne will invite attendees to examine the presence of Moral Injury in the world of first responders and consider meaningful and effective ways to protect one’s soul and heal existing wounds.

Eileen McKone
SRT Project
For seven years, Eileen has partnered with county, city, state, and federal agencies, delving into the intricacies of the job. Drawing from this experience, she crafted a cutting-edge program that blends proactive tactics with peer and supervisor support to champion mental wellness in first responder departments.
Eileen will present:

Learn how to mitigate stress in real-time with proactive strategies and gain practical, science-based tools to eliminate long-term stress, anxiety, and burnout while enhancing sleep.

Deputy Chief Adam Winkler
Adam Winkler is a career-long law enforcement professional passionate about Mental Health and believes in making it a priority for first responders. Adam has worked in local, county, and state agencies in NH since 1999 and has experience in accident reconstruction, motorcycle patrol, and investigations; and for several years has been working toward Mental Health friendly workplaces. Adam is trained in suicide prevention instruction as well as other mental health curriculums, presenting to several workplace and public audiences. Adam has been trained by ICISF in both group and individual crisis intervention and is a leader in CISM/Peer Support Teams for First Responders.
Adam has been a contributor to the SRT project since its inception and will be presenting with Eileen McKone. He is very excited about its mission, helping to create Stress and Resilience Training and reducing the stigma surrounding mental health for First Responders.

Nathaniel Taylor
Nathaniel is the Executive Clinical Director of FORGE VFR. A Mental health clinic in New Hampshire that works exclusively with Veterans and First Responders. He is a licensed mental health practitioner, ICISF trained and is passionate about working with underserved communities.

This presentation dives into our everyday tools for managing stress and the demands of life. We'll explore how these tools can sometimes become overused, creating unintended consequences. By raising awareness of this, we can develop a more mindful approach to managing ourselves and prevent our go-to strategies from becoming problematic.
