Candice W. Alizio, LMFT, CCISM, is the Founder and Owner of SHIFT. She has worked in the mental health field since 2010, co-building a successful intensive outpatient treatment program, training clinicians, and developing statewide peer support partnerships for Veterans and First Responders from 2017–2023. In 2023, she launched SHIFT, which provides clinical oversight, training, and wellness consultations for first responder agencies while continuing to offer culturally competent therapy to Active Military, Veterans, First Responders, and their families. SHIFT now partners with more than 15 first responder agencies, including providing annual individual wellness consultations for members of 10 departments. Candice also volunteers as a facilitator for Camp Resilience’s First Responder Retreats, serves as an FBI-certified Negotiator with the Southern NH Special Operations Unit, and is the Clinical Coordinator for the Southern NH CISM Team. With over 14 years of experience and specialized ICISF and IAFF training, she is dedicated to fostering psychological safety, resilience, and wellness within the responder community.

Johanna White, LCMHC Owner/Director: Johanna is a mental health clinician with over 20 years of experience as a military spouse, giving her unique insight into the challenges faced by veterans, first responders, and their families. For the past five years, she has specialized in helping these communities heal and build resilience through a holistic, mind-body approach. Johanna is trained in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy, EMDR, and Integrative Medicine for Mental Health, and integrates IFS-informed, somatic, and mindfulness-based techniques. She provides a compassionate, nonjudgmental space for trauma recovery, stress management, and personal growth—helping clients reconnect with their authentic selves and restore balance in mind, body, and spirit.

Emily Foskitt, CMHC, CCISM Director: Emily specializes in the intersection of mental health and public safety, working with first responders to strengthen resilience, promote wellness, and reduce the impact of chronic stress and trauma. Using CBT, DBT, and Somatic Therapy, she helps responders improve emotional regulation, relationships, and overall well-being. In addition to individual work, Emily partners with departments and peer teams to deliver trainings on trauma exposure and proactive mental health care. As a member of the Southern NH CISM Team, she provides clinical support and education following critical incidents to promote recovery and resilience within the first responder community.
